Pin-up submission
For those of you who don’t know yet, reMIND is een graphic novel by Jason Brubaker. Jason managed to raise enough funds for his project that he is now able to print it as a nice hardcover, clothbound graphic novel.
Besides a 136 pages of story there will be a few pin-ups by different artists including Sam Keith. And Jason reserved a spot for anyone who’s submission wins the reMIND pin-up contest. I couldn’t let this opportunity pass by so I too submitted a pin-up.
I chose the scene right after the hero-shot of page 76-77, here the main character Victuals dives off the lighthouse into the water on his way to meet the Lizard King who banished him.
Don’t forget to take a look at the other submissions in the pin-up gallery, there are a lot of very good illustrations in there.
Have fun!

WOW! That is really beautiful work!
I so wanted to submit something myself, but with overtime at work and my computer falling apart, I was just not able to make time for it.
But this is really fantastic! And it calls to mind two really nice pieces you did for 6-Commando way back when! I still owe you a favor for those!

Thanks man!
I think it is still a small wonder that during all the hectics in your life you where able to maintain your update schedule, chapeau!
I’m glad you like this piece, I’m really happy with it myself. It is the second one I did that is purely digital, even the sketches. I hope Jason thinks it good as well, it would be nice to have my work and website address shown to about 2000 people!
I was meaning to ask you, when Semmie’s story is nearing the end (around page 32 if I ever get that far) if you would do a guest piece? Think about it, no rush.
I’d be more than happy to! And now that I’m properly equipped, I feel I could actually do it justice! Just let me know when.

That’s great! I was hoping you would say that
. I want to make a planning for the final 12 pages of the story, since all the big projects for this year are over (kitchen, sliding doors and vacation). I think I should be able to have this finished somewhere around Christmas (2010).
I’ll keep you informed about my progress, that way you can determine for yourself if there is enough time left for you to make a piece. I wouldn’t want to see the update schedule for 6-commando get into trouble.
I’m really happy and excited you want to do this, I’m also very keen to see your version of Semmie or Bear.
Groetjes,
Joost.
